An Open Door to the Thinker

Must man be an annoying, brain dead hypocrite to be a Christian?  Thankfully, no.  I don't even have to like Christian rock either.  In fact, I can make fun of Christian rock, and bad Christian movies, and cheesy Christian culture, and Kirk Cameron.  And I can still be a Christian.  Yes, it's true.  A Christian can even be an intellectual, a thinker, someone who loves science, books, studying, college, and eclectic inquiry.  Imagine that.  Yes it is possible.  It's more than possible, its evangelical intelligentsia.

“The Christian faith does not call for us to put our minds on the shelf, to fly in the face of common sense and history, or to make a leap of faith into the dark. The rational person, fully apprised of the evidence, can confidently believe...” –William Lane Craig

“God maintains a delicate balance between keeping his existence sufficiently evident so people will know he's there and yet hiding his presence enough so that people who want to choose to ignore him can do it. This way, their choice of destiny is really free.” –J.P. Moreland

"Faith is like radar that sees through the fog-the reality of things at a distance that the human eye cannot see." - Corrie Ten Boom
